2010 St Patricks Day Parade Sunday 21 March 2010

The Parade commences at midday and starts at the corner of Town Hall on George Street and Bathurst Street continuing to Park St and around Elizabeth St, ending at Hyde Park near St James Station. The fun continues with the Family Day in Hyde Park, opening from 1pm to 7pm.

The Family Day will have something for everyone, from entertainment on the Main Stage from Irish musicians and dancers, to the colourful interactive Children’s Area. Food stands will serve Irish food and snacks and the beverage stands will cater for all tastes, from Irish tea to a good old glass of Guinness!

The Australian Irish Dancing Association will have a truck that dancers can sit on. The truck will have the Australian Irish Dancing Association banner on the front. Please be there around 11.30 so we are ready for the midday start. Parents will be able to walk behind the truck so they may meet the children at the end of the parade.

We will also be dancing in the concert and all dancers will need to be sidestage at 12.30.

MORE DEB NEWS

The fitting for the guys will be on Sunday 23rd April. They will be
required to bring $40.00 (cash only) on the night. The suits will then
be picked up at the practice at Revesby Workers the Thursday night
before the Ball.

BI-ANNUAL DEBUTANTE BALL

The AIDA NSW Branch Bi-Annual Debutante Ball is on Saturday 13th May 2006 at Revesby Worker’s Club, Revesby.

The practices for the ball will commence on Sunday 26th March at 6.30pm at Beverly Hills Public School, Cnr King Georges & Stoney Creek Rds Beverly Hills.

There will also be a practice at Revesby Workers’ Club on Thursday 11th May 2006 at approx 6.30pm (time to be confirmed).

Bishop David Cremin has accepted his invitation and our Matron of Honour is Kerry Hanrahan TCRG.

The ball tickets are $80.00 each for Debutantes and their partners and $100.00 each for all other guests. Tickets will be available over the next few weeks from your dancing teacher or from myself.

You will also be required to purchase flowers for yourself and a button hole flower for your partner, we will let you know the cost closer to the time.

Debutantes will be required to bring to the practices a small posy of flowers or something similar and over the next few weeks it is a good idea to wear the shoes you will be wearing on the night and, of course, bring your partner.

On the evening of the ball you will need to be at Revesby Workers’ Club at 6.30pm for individual and group photos.

The suits for your partner will be $110.00 + $40.00 bond (they will get their bond back upon return of the suit). They will also be required to purchase white gloves approx $10.00.

Myer Roselands will attend one of our practices to get measurements and they will also drop the suits of at our final practice.

This is a general overview and I will provide further details at the practices.

If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact me via email.
